This is a unique\, back-to-back precision rifle event designed to combine high-level competition with real-time coaching and skill development. \nThis two-day match brings together NRL22 Pros and Ams in a format that emphasizes mentorship\, teamwork\, and growth—both on and off the clock. \nWhether you’re a Pro looking to give back to the sport or an Am looking to elevate your game\, the NRL22 Pro/Am delivers a one-of-a-kind competitive and educational experience you won’t want to miss. \nWe look forward to seeing you on the line for this inaugural event. \nPro/Am Match Weekend Layout \nThe Pro/Am weekend features a team format\, where each Pro is paired with an Amateur competitor of their choosing and they will be working together as a team for the entire weekend. If a Pro/Am team signs up individually\, we will pair them together. Team dynamics will vary slightly from Day 1 to Day 2 but your Pro/Am score will be based on your team performance for the entire weekend. Here are the basics of each day and details on how this weekend will earn  you 2 scores for your NRL22X points race: \n  \nAfter reviewing the goals of the Pro/Am format\, we identified a more efficient and effective registration process that prioritizes complete Pro/Am teams. This approach ensures that full teams have the first opportunity to secure slots and helps us build the event exactly as intended. Once Team Registration closes and if slots remain available\, we will open registration to individual Pros and Ams\, allowing additional shooters the opportunity to participate and benefit from the Pro/Am experience. This structure allows us to maintain the integrity of the match while still maximizing participation. \nTeam Registration Information \n\nTeams must consist of one Pro and one Am\nEither shooter may register the team; however\, you will need your teammate’s full name\, email address\, shirt size\, division\, and classification.\nTeams should coordinate in advance and clearly communicate who will complete the registration to avoid duplicate entries\nOnce Team Registration closes\, individual Pros and Ams will be able to register. Individuals will be paired together based on first-come\, first-served availability.\n\nTeam Registration \n\nOpens: Friday\, 16 January 2026 @ 6:00 PM CST\nCloses: Thursday\, 22 January 2026 @ 6:00 PM CST\n\nIndividual Registration \n\nOpens: Friday\, 23 January 2026 @ 6:00 PM CST\n\n  \nDay 1 – Pro & Am Mentor Match \nDay 1 is focused on building the Amateur’s skills and confidence. The Pro will coach their Am partner (even while on the clock) providing guidance on stage breakdown\, positional building\, wind calls\, time management\, and mental game. Communication and teamwork are key\, as both shooters work together to navigate challenging stages under match pressure. \nThis day is all about learning\, collaboration\, and gaining insight directly from some of the best shooters in the sport—while still competing for score. \nDay 2 – Standard NRL22X Match \nDay 2 is focused on progressing the Amateur into using all of the skills they have been learning. The rules transition to a standard NRL22X match. Pros are encouraged to help their Ams as much as possible but coaching on the clock will no longer be allowed unless the Am is a Young Gun. Ams will compete on their own\, applying the techniques\, strategies\, and lessons learned from their Pro mentors on Day 1. Stages will be structured and scored just like an NRL22X match\, putting an emphasis on execution\, consistency\, and independent decision-making. This second day will provide you a standard NRL22X score but it is still important to guide your Am to a successful performance as this counts towards your Pro/Am score as well! \nPro/Am Selection Criteria:\nPro – any shooter that is classified as an Expert or Sharpshooter in NRL22 or has earned 80% or more at a PRS22 and/or PRS Pro Series (Centerfire) qualifier match\, regional finale\, and/or Finale in the past 2 years. \nAm – any shooter that is classified as a Marksman or Novice in NRL22 and has not earned 80% or more at a PRS22 and/or PRS Pro Series (Centerfire) qualifier match\, regional finale\, and/or Finale in the past 2 years. \nPro/Pro & Am/Am teams will not be allowed to register\, however any shooter that classes up from Am (Novice or Marksman) to Pro (Expert or Sharpshooter) after registering for this event will be designated as a classed-up team which will walk the prize table after all Pro/Am teams walk. \nClassifications: To check what yours or someone else’s classification is please click here \nPrice: $380 as a team\, $190 as an individual\, $165 for Young Guns (use code 2026PROAMYG).
