SUMMARY:NRL22X – Friendship\, IN
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again.  Unfortunately\, we couldn’t get our August date to line up\, so we had to move it up this year.  Good news is that it’s the weekend before nationals and will serve as a good tune-up while getting points toward the 2027 season.   \nEvent location:  Walter Cline Range 7436 South Co Road 575 East\, Versailles\, IN\, 47042 \nThis event will be 10 stages designed to be a balance of beginner friendly stages as well as challenging stages for more experienced shooters.  Our goal is to make sure shooters of all skill levels are challenged while still having fun and growing the sport.  The course of fire will be spread out over 1000 feet of covered firing line\, so carts are welcome and encouraged to transport your gear.\nPrize table:  I will attempt to get enough sponsorship to establish a prize table as best as I can \nTrophies will be given out to the top 5 open shooters\, top base\, top lady\, top young gun\, top old gun\, top semi-auto and top air rifle. \nWe will have paper sight-in targets at 50 yards and limited steel out to 200yds.  No match props or target steel may be used at any point during sight-in time.   \nThe cost of this match will be $65.  Young gun fee will be $55.  Lunch will be provided as part of your entry fee\, and all shooters will receive a match sun hoodie as long as you are registered and paid before May 20th.  The entry fee for this match is non-refundable\, but you may sell your entry to someone else if you wish.  This exchange will be facilitated by you\, and you must notify me of the change so we can get the registration correct for match day.  As always\, the food truck will be open from the time you arrive until the conclusion of the match. \nMulligans will be available the day of the match for $10.  We will also be holding our 3 stage tune-up on Friday evening again for the FAF trophy.  The cost of the tune-up will be $20 payable at the time of the match. \nThere are several hotels and Air BNB’s within a 30-40 min drive of the range.  Walter Cline Range is a working Campground\, so there are multiple spots available for campers with/without electric needs as well as primitive camping.  Campsites will fill up quickly due to the Muzzleloading Nationals that will be held the following week.  You can contact the NMLRA office at 812-432-2670 and ask for Brenda Hooten or nmlra@nmlra.org to reserve a campsite..\nSchedule:\nFriday June 5th 2026\n4pm – early check-in and zero\n6pm – 3 stage tune-up for the FAF trophy will begin\nSaturday June 6th 2026\n7am – zero range will open\n8am – squad mom walk through\n8:15am – range safety brief\n8:30am – range will go hot for the match\nLunch will be at your convenience during the match. The Pro will coach their Am partner (even while on the clock) providing guidance on stage breakdown\, positional building\, wind calls\, time management\, and mental game. Communication and teamwork are key\, as both shooters work together to navigate challenging stages under match pressure. \nThis day is all about learning\, collaboration\, and gaining insight directly from some of the best shooters in the sport—while still competing for score. \nDay 2 – Standard NRL22X Match \nDay 2 is focused on progressing the Amateur into using all of the skills they have been learning. The rules transition to a standard NRL22X match. Pros are encouraged to help their Ams as much as possible but coaching on the clock will no longer be allowed unless the Am is a Young Gun. Ams will compete on their own\, applying the techniques\, strategies\, and lessons learned from their Pro mentors on Day 1. Stages will be structured and scored just like an NRL22X match\, putting an emphasis on execution\, consistency\, and independent decision-making. This second day will provide you a standard NRL22X score but it is still important to guide your Am to a successful performance as this counts towards your Pro/Am score as well! \nPro/Am Selection Criteria:\nPro – any shooter that is classified as an Expert or Sharpshooter in NRL22 or has earned 80% or more at a PRS22 and/or PRS Pro Series (Centerfire) qualifier match\, regional finale\, and/or Finale in the past 2 years. \nAm – any shooter that is classified as a Marksman or Novice in NRL22 and has not earned 80% or more at a PRS22 and/or PRS Pro Series (Centerfire) qualifier match\, regional finale\, and/or Finale in the past 2 years. \nPro/Pro & Am/Am teams will not be allowed to register\, however any shooter that classes up from Am (Novice or Marksman) to Pro (Expert or Sharpshooter) after registering for this event will be designated as a classed-up team which will walk the prize table after all Pro/Am teams walk. \nClassifications: To check what yours or someone else’s classification is please click here \nPrice: TBD \nNumber of Stages: TBD \nMax Distance: ~300 yards \nRound Count: TBD \nMulligans: TBD \nPrize Table: Prize table will be walked as a team based on the entire weekend’s performance i.e. both scores on Saturday and Sunday will be combine to determine your walk order.
