Dominic Thompson
Position:
Co-Owner
&
Co-Director of Match Operations
Location:Â
Clarksville, TN
Shooting Background:
Dominic started competing in precision centerfire matches in Texas in 2016 after attending an intro to long range shooting class hosted by, now his good friend, Clark Curnutt. After attending the intro class, Dominic jumped both feet first into the centerfire sport, attending regional matches almost every other weekend and competing in several 2-day National centerfire matches.
In 2018, Dominic’s friends put on a new type of match called NRL22. In 2018, NRL22 was in its infancy, but still very appealing as ammo was cheaper but the principles of precision rifle shooting still applied. In 2019, the Army moved Dominic to Tennessee where he started his own NRL22 club. In late 2019, Dominic volunteered to design and create the monthly course of fire artwork as he wanted to part of this amazing organization. After a couple of years, Dominic was selected to be the NRL22 National Coordinator which entailed working with NRL22 Match Directors and managing the annual NRL22X season roster. Throughout his time at NRL22, Dominic has helped grow this organization to what it is today. In early 2024, Dominic became one of the owners of NRL22. Dominic serves as an NRL22 Advisor and works with course of fire designers each month by proofing each stage so the entire NRL22 community is able to enjoy a comprehensive National course of fire. He also helps with website management & design, and most recently started with graphics design and video editing. Dominic is a Manners Composite Stocks Team Shooter. Dominic continues to grow this sport as a competitor, match director, and owner.Â
