Welcome to the Hoosier Havoc: Spool-A-Palooza

Sommelier : Good afternoon, Mr. Wick. It’s been a long time.

John Wick : I’d like a tasting.

Sommelier : I know of your past fondness for field matches, but I can wholeheartedly endorse the new breed of mixed wood and field stages. What’s next?

John Wick : I need something robust. Precise.

Sommelier : Robust. Precise. 10 stages. 105 second par times. 14 rounds max per stage. “Stiner” ruleset to reset shots based on position movement to keep your match on track.

John Wick : Could you recommend anything for the end of the night? Something big, bold.

Sommelier : May I suggest lunch from GnawMart? Breaded pork tenderloin. Full garden on the side with condiments of choice. A Hoosier classic.

John Wick : Dessert?

Sommelier : Dessert. Our finest prize table. Combined between the Saturday NRL22X match and the Sunday PRS22 match. Shall I register you for both?

John Wick : Yes. Thank you.

Sommelier : Excellent. Mr. Wick? Do enjoy your match weekend.

Range Address: 400-698 Camp Moneto Rd Gnaw Bone, IN 47202

A tasteful mix of woods stages and open field stages. 105 second par times and most stages being 10 rounds (max 14 rounds per stage). The range is conveniently located close to I-65 between Columbus and Nashville. Targets out to 250 yards.

The Canadians did a tank trap match. We are going bigger, better, … rounder? [bald eagle screeches in background] Hoosier Havoc: Spool-A-Palooza will feature spools on Every. Single. Stage.

Stages & Round Count: 10 stages, 124 rounds, with distances from 50 yards out to 350 yards, mostly off props. Zero paper targets will be provided at 50 yards on tune up day & the day of the match.

Lunch: Yes, we’re having lunch. GnawMart makes an amazing Hoosier Breaded Pork Tenderloin or “BPT” as they are known by aficionados.

Prize table: Why not. ON SUNDAY, the prize table walk order will be your combined finish positions for the NRL22X match on Saturday and the PRS22 match on Sunday. Tiebreakers for overall finish positions will be decided by your finish position at the Sunday match. The prize table will only be walked on Sunday – there is no separate Saturday prize table for only the NRL22X match.

Camping: I thought you’d never ask! YES. This year we will offer primitive camping on Friday and Saturday nights at the range. It is completely unpowered and unsupported. We cannot accommodate RVs. The driveway in is steep and your RV will not make it out. That said, there is an RV campground at the other end of Camp Moneto Road (https://www.awayadayrvcampground.com/booking), so RVers can stay very close. We will have a bonfire.

Trophies: Trophies will be awarded for the NRL22X match to the Top 3 Overall finishers as well as Top Lady, Top Young Gun, Top Old Gun, Top Base & Top Air Rifle [Provided there are at least 3 shooters in the division registered 2 weeks prior to the match. If there are not 3, those trophies will go toward overall match finisher positions so we can go deeper than Top 3]

Mulligans: will be available at the match check-in for an additional $10 (limit 1 per shooter). EVERY YOUNG GUN WILL RECEIVE A FREE MULLIGAN.

Some stages will have a max round count of 14 so it is highly encouraged to have magazine extensions, or you’ll be required to conduct magazine changes. We will be shooting at 2 different ranges on the club grounds. A cart could be useful, but the ranges are 80 yards apart so it is also overkill and physical range space is limited.

We will have sight in paper targets at 50y. Then limited steel between 100-300y yards for DOPE verification. No match props or targets may be used during the sight in.

***The match fee is non-refundable for any reason. You may choose to sell or donate your spot, but you will need to coordinate that on your own***
