Welcome to the Walter Cline Range Creekside Shootout presented by Vortex Optics. Walter Cline Range is a beautiful facility nestled in Southeast Indiana and is the home of the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association. This 540-acre facility houses an operating campground along with the many individual shooting ranges. We offer a state-of-the-art bathhouse facility right next to the rifle range that is conditioned year-round. We also have an on-site food vendor for all your needs throughout the competition.
The Creekside Shootout will consist of 10-11 stages designed to challenge each shooter's ability to build solid positions and navigate each prop safely. The stages will be new shooter friendly but also challenge the most seasoned competitors. Shooters can expect to engage targets from prone, modified prone and positional situations from 50-300+ yards with a round count of 110-130. There will be stages with a high round count and some that will require mandatory mag changes, so please plan your gear needs accordingly. Our main rifle range spans over 800' and is cart/spectator friendly. We will be shooting from an uncovered position unless we have bad weather. In the event of bad weather, we will move all stages under the covered firing line. Our plan at this point is to have dedicated stage RO's with shooters being responsible for spotting and calling impacts.
We will have an early check-in on Friday. The sight-in range will be open also. We will be holding a Long Gong match on Friday starting at 3pm that will be listed separately on Practiscore for those who wish to participate. There will be a head-to-head drag race competition beginning at 7pm at a cost of $10. A trophy for with winner will be presented on Saturday after the main competition.
Match Fee: $65 for adults and $55 for young guns with advanced payment.
Mulligans will be available for an additional $10.
We do not accept payment through Practiscore at this time, but you will be given options on how to pay in advance with your registration email. Shooters will not be authorized to squad until payment is received. If payment is not received in advance, you will be placed in a squad at our convenience and there will be a $10 additional fee for match day payment. This match fee is non-refundable, but you may sell your spot to another competitor. If selling your spot to another competitor, please email the match director at the email address listed below for more information.
Match T-shirts will be available for an additional $15 per and the sizes are adult small through 3XL.

Welcome to the 2025 Annual Haunted Forest Match! This will be the standard 5 stages of NRL22 plus 3 bonus stages!
If you have never experienced this kind of match before then your in for a treat! Come hang out with us under the dim lighting and a rather interesting field set up. There is some light, some UV, a little bit of surprises all around. No NV needed as the targets are lit up one way or another. The firing line is dimly lit but still safe and easy to maneuver around.
We will have some kind of dinner in the clubhouse before opening up the firing line. Feel free to treat yourself before a good solid match. We will start around dusk and hope to finish by 2359. The town has granted us permission to shoot that late. Only issue with that is that there are limited spots for these matches. The more people the longer it takes, so if you want to experience a fun and exciting way to shoot some rimfire, sign up fast when it opens.
The weather is always a constant variable, so please come dressed accordingly. The match goes on Wind, rain, snow, or shine. We have a 90% covered range. But with the capability to throw up cover when necessary. We only cancel for dramatic weather conditions.

Welcome to the RO match for Rendezvous With Destiny '25 NRL22X match.
We feel strongly that a big key to a high-quality match is to have good ROs. Good ROs bring consistency to stages for a fair competition. They ensure safety, and efficient match flow. We are looking for people willing to be ROs.
- ROs will shoot the match for free
- Eat for free on match day and during the RO match
- Walk the prize table with the rest of the competitors (if we have one)
- Trophies for the top 3 ROs
- Receive appreciation and respect from the Match Director and competitors
ROs will also be given the opportunity to shoot the course of fire on Friday. This will give them the opportunity to shoot the match, as well as allow them to become accustomed with the stages. If you are new to precision rifle competitions, ROing this match will be an excellent opportunity to get experience shooting with help from match directors, as well as experience spotting bullet impacts through spotting scopes.
We will have up to 15 ROs and 2 on reserve in the event we have no-shows and for those 2 to assist with other range operations. Some stages will have 2 ROs will others will have only 1.
This will be a dedicated RO companion match which means your scores will count as a separate NRL22X match than that of the main event match on October 11th. In order for your score to count you must shoot the RO match on Friday and RO all day on Saturday.
This match will consist of 10 stages fired at distances up to 300 yards with a round count of ~150 rounds not including zeroing. Some stages will have a high round count; therefore it’s HIGHLY recommended to have magazine extensions and/or spare magazines.
Competitors can expect fun and challenging stages with 90% of the engagements being shot off of props.
This match will test your shooting skills, time management, and the ability to build solid shooting positions.
Everyone will shoot the same COF; therefore, no modifications to the COF will occur for any Division.
Mulligans will be available at the match check-in for an additional $10
Lunch will be catered and free on Saturday, match day by Chick-Fil-A and brought to each stage. You must provide your own lunch on the RO Match.
Number of Stages: 10
Max Distance: Up to 300 yards
Round Count: ~150 not including zeroing
Mulligans: $10
Prize Table: With donations becoming more and more difficult to receive from sponsors, if we receive any, we will do a random draw. If we receive lots of donations, then we will walk the prize table in order of finish.
Trophies: 1st-3rd RO
Match Timeline:
(all times are in CST)
Check-in Time: 7:00 am
Zero Time: 7:15 am - 8:15 am
