Additional Information
Round count will be 120+ for the match, but bring more for zeroing, malfunctions, side stages etc.
This match will be self-squadded. Squadding will be open upon match registration.
We are incredibly honored to be hosting this NRL22X match. As shooters ourselves, we are excited to bring you a fun and challenging match in the lakes area of Minnesota! This is the only fully female lead match in the country!
Lunch, snacks, and bottled water will be provided the day of the match. Food will also be available for purchase during Friday check-in/zero range/side stages/tune-up from the Reloading Shack by JT and Danette Hall. Please reach out via phone or email (listed below) if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Mulligans will be available for $20 each, limit one mulligan per shooter. Mulligans must be announced immediately upon shooter completion of the stage and the shooter will take their reshoot immediately following the next shooter. Side stages for prizes will be available on Friday for $10/try. Each try will earn you anywhere from 1-10 tickets entered into a drawing for the prizes available. A match tune-up will also be available Friday for $10/shooter. Shooters will be able to walk the course of fire, but rifles will not be allowed during the tune-up. The money made from side stages, the tune-up, and mulligans will go to supporting the match/ROs.
Target distances will be between 25-350 yards.
Prize table walking order will be a combination of place finished and random draws. Top 3 overall and class winners walk the table first, followed by alternation between a random draw RO, random draw shooter, and the next highest match placement. We would like our ROs to be adequately rewarded for their participation and we will have the top 3 ROs from the RO match walk the table with the other class winners. We cannot provide high quality matches without high quality ROs.
Range Officer (RO) opportunity
We feel strongly that a big key to a high-quality match is to have good ROs. Good ROs bring consistency to stages for a fair competition and help keep the match flowing smoothly. We are looking for willing ROs to participate. ROs will eat free Friday and Saturday, will walk the prize table with the rest of the shooters, and will receive appreciation and respect from the match directors and the shooters. ROs will also be given the opportunity to shoot the course of fire on Friday. As long as we have 15+ shooters in the match, we will submit the match scores for NRL22X points. This will give them the opportunity to shoot the match, as well as allow them to become accustomed with the stages. If you are new to precision rifle competitions, ROing this match will be an excellent opportunity to get experience shooting with help from match directors, as well as experience spotting bullet impacts through spotting scopes. To RO, please reach out via email or Facebook to Suzie Lundsten at matchdirectors@mnmayhem.com

Rounds Required: 80 rounds + extra for zero & practice
Divisions: Open, Base, Ladies, Old Guns, Young Guns, Adaptive, Air Rifle & Semi-auto.
What to bring: The minimum of a .22LR rifle w/scope is key. People have shot with open sights and it is allowed but this sport was designed for precision and accuracy so it is very difficult to shoot NRL22 without a scope. A bipod is very beneficial but not required. A shooting bag is very beneficial as well but the NRL22 community is very welcoming and supportive so there will be plenty of bags that can be borrowed if needed. We just want people being safe, shooting, and enjoying themselves. Eye and ear protection is recommended, but will be required If someone is shooting centerfire in the pistol bays.
601 Rimfire will host the 5 published monthly stages, plus 2 bonus stages out to 300 yards. Scores are submitted to NRL22 leaderboards and tracked on a club level for season winners.

JOIN US FOR OUR MONTHLY NRL22 MATCH!
This is our first-year hosting NRL22 matches but we are no strangers to hosting shooting sports events some of the world's best shooters have shot on our range and we look forward to growing our club even more with the addition of NRL22.
This precision shooting sport is designed to bring Precision Rifle Shooting to every community. With our facility's we believe that this shooting discipline is a great fit for our organization.
Each month shooters will be shooting steel targets at distances from 25 to 100 yards. Shooters will shoot multiple NRL22 monthly course of fire (COF) stages, using NRL22 approved barricades such as barrels, ladders, sawhorses, buckets, cinder blocks, NRL22 tank trap, NRL22 pyramid, and roof platform. The positions you shoot from are limitless in the sport so bring your shooting gear and at least 100 rounds of your favorite 22lr ammo and prepare for a fun and challenging experience that will test your marksmanship skills and shooting strategy. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or a novice, this is a great opportunity to hone your skills and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow shooting enthusiasts.
ALL Matches will consist of the published NRL22 monthly Course of fire (COF) using option 1 and at least 1 bonus stage. Bonus stages could be previous NRL22 stages shot with option 2, stages with different shape targets or stages shooting out to 200 yards. The only limits for these bonus stages are range distance and availability of props and targets
Check in will start at 8:00 AM and shooters will be able to gather D.O.P.E until 9:00 AM at this time the range will go cold so that stage targets and props can be setup. Once the COF is setup a mandatory safety brief will take place. All competitors are required to attend the safety breif any shooter that does not attend the safety brief will be disqualified from the match.
Monthly NRL22 Match,
Sight in at 9;30
Match starts at 10
5 monthly stages
1 or 2 Bonus Stages
The monthly NRL22 Course of fire will be 5 stages (plus two additional stages). 80+ rounds of 22LR engaging steel targets from 25 to 100 yards. There is a good mix between prone, barricade and positional stages. Steel targets sized from 1/4" to 6" depending on the stage description.
Matches are focused on skills development and casual competition in a relaxed atmosphere. It is a great opportunity to challenge your marksmanship skills from obstacles and barricades engaging targets as small as ¼ of an inch. Stages will have multiple steel targets ranging anywhere from 25 to 100 yards, something you can’t shoot on most ranges. Each month is a different course of fire. There will be a great mix of new and experienced shooters who love to share knowledge with others who are interested in precision rifle.

Nrl22 option 1 only
Precision rifle shooting and the .22 long rifle cartridge aren’t found in the same sentence very often, but that is the core philosophy of the NRL22 format. By stretching the capabilities of the world’s most popular and cheapest rifle calibers, the goal is to create a challenging yet welcoming target shooting environment for a diverse range of shooters; young and old, rich and poor, novices and veterans.
The organization behind the NRL22 competition is the National Rimfire League. With an annual membership fee of only $60/Adults and $25/Youth, the NRL22 format is an accessible and budget-minded target shooting platform.
To provide fair competitive opportunities for as many people as possible, NRL22 is organized into eight shooter divisions:
1. Base division is reserved for shooters with a rifle and scope totaling less than $1650 MSRP.
2. Open division has no rifle restrictions other than rifles must be chambered in 22lr or are air rifles.
3. Young Guns is for children ages 8-16 and compete in either base, open, or air rifle classes.
4. Ladies division is for female shooters and competes in either base, open, or air rifle classes.
5. Air rifle division is exclusively for air rifles and competes alongside 22lr rifles during matches.
6. Old Guns division is for any shooter over age 60.
7. Semi-Auto division is for semi-automatic rifles.
8. Adaptive division is for folks with physical restrictions that just want to join in on the fun.
Zero range will open at 1230pm before the match start. Please arrive accordingly to ensure everyone gets the opportunity to check zero.
Following the match we will have a fun head2head side event. Please bring a case of the soda of your choice if you would like to participate. (cheapest is best as we will be shooting them not drinking them)
Big River Ballistics is proud to announce we are hosting our first NRL 22 match this summer! May 9th at the range we will be hosting it for all.

FAQ:
Are there Divisions?
For match results, no. Welcome to The Thunderdome.
For your NRL22X season points, yes. Sign up with the division you intend to shoot (semi, base, ladies, etc). Your team score will be applied to your selected division. For example, say you sign yourself up as base and your partner is ladies, and your team lands 3rd place with 85% of the winning team, you'd get 85 under base, and your partner would get 85 points under ladies for this NRL22X match in the season standing.
Do we pick our partners or are we assigned partners? Do they need to be the same division?
You pick your own partner. They do not need to be the same division as you since all teams will be on the same playing field.
After you and your partner are signed up, you should be able to join them as a team.
Will this match be cart friendly?
Yes. Carts are allowed but not on the line.
Will match swag be included and what deadlines apply?
Shirts will be available. Registration deadline to receive a shirt is MAY 1ST, 2026.
If you sign up after that, we cannot guarantee you a shirt.

Option 1 in the scenic hills of SW Wisconsin.
